I have been an occupational therapist for over 20 years, with more than 24 years of experience overall, much of that time working in the pediatric world. Throughout my career, I have always felt a deep connection to working with infants and children. Through my experience in outpatient pediatrics, school-based therapy, and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, I developed a strong foundation in supporting regulation, development, and the unique needs of babies and children.
When I was introduced to craniosacral therapy for adults, infants, and children, I was immediately drawn to its gentle and powerful approach. As my training and skills continued to grow, I began to envision a way to support not only infants and children, but entire families — which ultimately led to the creation of Kern Infant Craniosacral Therapy.
Today, I love supporting families through nervous system regulation, sensory integration, feeding therapy, developmental guidance, and overall wellness using an integrative, compassionate approach. It is truly an honor to walk alongside families and help support the comfort, growth, and well-being of babies and their caregivers throughout the Bakersfield area.

Craniosacral Therapy, Infant Massage
I earned my bachelor’s degree in Theology from Marquette University and went on to complete my Master of Science in Occupational Therapy at Washington University in St. Louis, School of Medicine. While I have worked across many areas of occupational therapy, I have always been drawn back to pediatrics, which remains my greatest passion.
As a pediatric occupational therapist, I have practiced in outpatient pediatrics, school-based therapy, and most recently in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). During my time in the NICU, I developed specialized skills in infant care, including craniosacral therapy, infant massage, and feeding therapy. Supporting infants during their earliest stages of development continues to be deeply meaningful to me.
I have been an occupational therapist for over 25 years and have pursued extensive advanced training throughout my career. I trained at the Beames CST Training Center, earning certification as a Craniosacral Therapist (CST) and Infant Craniosacral Therapist (ICST). I am also certified in Neonatal Touch and Massage Therapy (NTMTC). In addition, I hold advanced practice certifications from the Occupational Therapy Board of California in Physical Agent Modalities, Hand Therapy, and Swallowing Assessment, Evaluation, and Intervention, and I am a Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist (Levels I & II).
Outside of my professional work, I have been happily married to my husband, Craig, for 28 years, and we have three adult sons. I enjoy baking, camping, and spending time with our two dogs, Bailey and Ozzy.
How I got Started
My clinic grew from a passion that began many years ago through my work with infants and children. I believe that supporting optimal positioning, comfort, and regulation early in life lays an important foundation for development and growth. Over time, I also recognized the need for a truly patient-centered approach to care — one that honors the individual while supporting the family as a whole.
This vision led me to create a space where comprehensive, compassionate care can come together for people of all ages. When a client feels more comfortable and supported, the benefits naturally extend to the entire family.
